Michael L. Goodin, M.D., F.A.A.P.

Dr. Goodin was born in a small town in Nebraska and went to medical school at Creighton University and then did his internship at LA County-USC before doing his Pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. He was also a chief resident at CHLA before joining the Pediatric Medical Center in 1971 and enjoyed teaching the residents at Miller Children’s Hospital. Before starting medical school, he served in the U.S. Air Force and that’s where he met his beloved wife Jeanne. They were married for 63 years and theirs was truly a “storybook” marriage. They raised 3 daughters and have 9 grandchildren who adored their Pappa. Compassionate, loyal, deeply religious, patient, a good listener and witty are just a few words that describe him.

Dr. Goodin passed away on Friday July 22nd after a long illness that he battled so valiantly. He passed away peacefully with his beloved family by his side. He touched countless lives and he was one of those rare and unique individuals that you are blessed to have known…there could not be a nicer man or better doctor. While we are saddened by his loss, we are so fortunate to  have had him for so many years and learned so much from him, not just by what he said, but by his example. We will miss him terribly but know that his spirit will live strong at PMC.
